Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between mono-bevel and bi-bevel chisels?

A mono-bevel chisel has one cutting bevel and shaves bone from one side. A bi-bevel chisel has a bevel on both sides and is used to split teeth.

Are chisels used by hand or with a mallet?

Both methods are used, depending on the procedure and the surgeon’s preference.
