SurgiWorld supplies surgical bone curettes to oral surgeons and general dentists across Canada.
What is in the range
The range includes Miller curettes 8 to 12 (2.9 mm to 4.2 mm), Lucas curettes 84 to 88 (2.0 mm to 4.7 mm), a serrated Lucas 84 and a Molt 2/4 curette, all with double-ended spoons.
How to choose
Choose the spoon size to match the socket or cavity. Smaller sizes suit narrow sockets, and larger ones suit wide molar sockets and cyst cavities. Serrated spoons grip adherent tissue.
Clinical use
Surgical curettes debride extraction sockets and remove granulation tissue and cyst linings.
All instruments are made from medical grade stainless steel and can be autoclaved between patients.

Frequently asked questions
How is a surgical curette different from a periodontal curette?
Surgical curettes have spoon-shaped blades for bone sockets and cysts. Periodontal curettes, such as Gracey and universal curettes, are made for scaling root surfaces.
Which size should I use?
Match the spoon to the socket width. Many clinicians work from a smaller size up to a larger one.
