The 13 Chandler Bone Chisel is a mono-bevel instrument extending the Chandler series with an additional shank angulation for bone preparation in oral surgical and implant procedures. As the series number increases, the shank geometry changes to address a broader range of access angles to the alveolar bone surface, allowing a surgeon who carries the full Chandler set to approach any bone surface on the alveolar ridge from an optimal cutting angle without patient repositioning. The #13 is typically selected when the earlier-numbered instruments in the series have been used for the primary bone preparation and a specific bone surface area requires the #13 approach geometry to complete the preparation. Mallet-compatible, medical-grade stainless steel, autoclavable.
