EXD 6 Explorer, Posterior Access Tips

EXD 6 Explorer is selected when a clinician needs to access difficult posterior areas, particularly molar occlusal surfaces where a bulkier explorer tip cannot seat cleanly into the pits and fissures being checked.

The defining feature is a pair of slender, angled tips, sized and angled specifically to reach posterior surfaces without the shank or handle interfering with access at the back of the arch.

Clinically, the EXD 6 is used for occlusal decay screening on posterior teeth.
