Posterior Thin Sickle Scaler (similar to NEVI2) is selected when a posterior interproximal space or contact point is too tight for a standard-thickness sickle scaler to enter cleanly.

The defining feature is the ultra-slender blade profile combined with a shank curvature suited to posterior access, which lets the tip slide under the contact point and reach calculus a bulkier blade would miss entirely.

Clinically, this scaler is used for supragingival calculus removal on the distal and mesial surfaces of molars and premolars, particularly in cases with tight proximal contacts. Double-ended, medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
