75 Kramer-Nevins Bone Chisel 7.5 mm, Wide Bone Grafting and Ridge Compacting Chisel

The Kramer-Nevins bone chisel 75 extends the same compacting and grafting function as the 55 to a wider 7.5 mm blade, giving the clinician more wall coverage per stroke when compacting bone after graft placement or removing larger areas of exostosis or tori. Like the 55, it is not a shaving or splitting instrument; its role is to condense and compact bone rather than remove it in the way the Gardner or Chandler chisels do.

At 7.5 mm blade width, the 75 is the wider of the two Kramer-Nevins grafting sizes, reducing the number of compacting strokes needed to complete a wide graft site wall or a larger ridge of excess bone. The 7.5 mm blade width is shared with the mono-bevel #3 Kramer-Nevins, though the two instruments serve different procedures and should not be substituted for each other.

Clinically, the 75 is selected over the 55 when the graft site wall is wide or the tori or exostosis being removed covers a larger surface area, with the narrower 55 reserved for more confined sites. Single-ended, medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, autoclavable.
