Luxator 1mm Straight
CAD 139.99
Luxator 1mm Straight is the finest, most delicate blade width in the Luxator periotome line, built for the first stage of an atraumatic extraction. The ultra-thin 1mm straight tip inserts into the periodontal ligament space along the long axis of the root, severing the fine PDL fibers holding the tooth in place before a wider luxator or elevator takes over. Straight geometry gives a direct line of insertion on anterior teeth and single-rooted premolars, working the full circumference of the socket with light rocking and rotational pressure rather than the prying leverage of a standard elevator. Starting an extraction with this width reduces the force needed at later stages, helping preserve the buccal plate and surrounding bone. Medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
Luxator 1mm Straight is selected as the opening instrument in an atraumatic extraction sequence, when the periodontal ligament space is still tight and a wider blade would risk fracturing the root or the buccal plate.
The defining feature is the 1mm straight blade, the thinnest width in the Luxator line. It seats into the PDL space along the root’s long axis and severs the fine ligament fibers with light rotational and rocking pressure, rather than the wedging leverage of a conventional elevator.
Clinically, this width is used to open the socket on anterior teeth and single-rooted premolars before switching to a wider straight or curved luxator, or to a standard elevator, for the remainder of the extraction. Medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
Product Features
- Luxator 1mm Straight severs periodontal ligament fibers before a wider instrument is used
- Ultra-thin 1mm blade width minimizes force on the buccal plate and surrounding bone
- Straight geometry suits anterior teeth and single-rooted premolars
- Works the full socket circumference with rocking and rotational pressure, not prying
- Pairs with wider Luxator widths for a staged atraumatic extraction sequence
- Medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable
