Correcting a height mismatch between adjacent brackets is difficult to reproduce with a freehand bend, since even a small variation in step height changes how the wire seats and how much force reaches the tooth. Step Pliers, 3/4 mm remove that variability by forming a fixed offset in a single squeeze of the handle.

The defining feature is the offset beak geometry, machined to produce exactly a 3/4 mm step rather than a range of possible depths. This sits between the 1/2 mm and 1 mm step heights, giving the clinician a middle option when a lighter or heavier offset would either undercorrect or overcorrect the bracket height difference.

Clinically, step bends are used to level bracket height, offset a wire facio-lingually around a rotated tooth, or work around a partially erupted tooth without switching to a different wire size. Wire capacity reaches .022″ x .025″ round and rectangular archwire. Medical-grade stainless steel, fully autoclavable.
