Dressing Pliers, Perry Pattern, Curved Serrated

Dressing Pliers, Perry Pattern, Curved Serrated is a pivot-hinge cotton and dressing forceps with a sharply hooked, serrated tip, used where a steeper approach angle is needed than a standard College pattern plier allows.

The defining feature of the Perry pattern is the tight hook curve concentrated near the very tip, rather than a gradual bend along the whole shaft. That geometry lets the working end reach a posterior or interproximal site while the shank stays clear of the field, useful for placing or retrieving cotton pellets, small gauze pieces, and retraction cord in a tight quadrant.

Unlike a one-piece spring-steel plier, this pattern uses a pivot-screw joint, which keeps jaw closure force consistent along the full length of the serrated tip instead of tapering toward the end. The joint can also be inspected and re-tensioned over the life of the instrument rather than the whole plier needing replacement.

Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, and built to withstand repeated autoclave cycles.
