2 Burnisher DE, 1.5mm/2.6mm

CAD 49.99

SKU: RB2DE
Category:

2 Burnisher DE, 1.5mm/2.6mm is built with matched double-ended ball tips at 1.5mm and 2.6mm for burnishing margins of two different scales without switching instruments. A burnisher’s job comes after placement, not during it: once composite, amalgam, or a gold or stainless crown margin is seated, the rounded working ends smooth and adapt the material against the tooth surface, closing small margin gaps and knocking down high spots left by the placement instrument.

The rounded, polished tip geometry is shaped specifically to glide across a surface rather than cut into it, applying controlled burnishing pressure without gouging composite or distorting a thin metal margin. Having two tip sizes on one handle covers both a fine margin adjustment and a broader occlusal or buccal smoothing pass.

Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant and rated for full autoclave sterilization without losing edge or tip definition over repeated cycles.

It’s part of SurgiWorld’s Burnishers lineup, stocked for the finishing step every restorative and crown-and-bridge appointment needs after placement, so the right tip size is always on the tray without reaching for an improvised substitute.

SurgiWorld supplies this instrument to dental clinics, restorative practices, and dental schools across Canada and the USA, backed by fast replacement stock so a worn or lost instrument doesn’t leave a gap in the tray setup during a busy clinical day, and by a full range of matched sizes and patterns within the same product line for whenever the case calls for a different profile.

Clinical Use

2 Burnisher DE, 1.5mm/2.6mm is a finishing-stage instrument, built with matched double-ended ball tips at 1.5mm and 2.6mm for burnishing margins of two different scales without switching instruments. It’s reached for after a restoration – composite, amalgam, or a metal crown margin – has already been placed, to smooth and adapt the material against the tooth surface rather than to shape or place it.

The rounded ball or cone tip burnishes rather than cuts: run along a margin or occlusal surface, it closes small gaps, smooths transitions, and knocks down minor high spots left behind by the placement or carving instrument, without removing material the way a carver’s edge would.

Design and Handling

Two tip sizes on a single double-ended handle mean a fine margin adjustment and a broader smoothing pass are both available without reaching for a second instrument. The polished, rounded tip surface is shaped to glide rather than dig in, giving consistent, controlled pressure across the restoration surface.

SurgiWorld’s Burnishers range covers ball, acorn, cone, and Ladmore tip patterns across several sizes, so the right burnishing profile for a given margin or occlusal surface is always available on the finishing tray.

SurgiWorld supplies this instrument to dental clinics, restorative practices, and dental schools across Canada and the USA, backed by fast replacement stock so a worn or lost instrument doesn’t leave a gap in the tray setup.
