3S Hollenback Carver

CAD 49.99

SKU: RCH3S
Category:

3S Hollenback Carver is built with the Hollenback #3S blade profile, a finer variant of the standard #3 for detail carving. Carving is the anatomy-defining step in a direct restoration: after composite or amalgam has been placed and condensed, the carver’s blade cuts back excess material and re-establishes the occlusal grooves, cusps, and proximal contours the restoration needs to function and occlude correctly.

The blade geometry is shaped to remove material cleanly without dragging or tearing a not-yet-cured or freshly-set surface, giving the clinician control over how deep a groove cuts or how sharp a cusp tip forms.

Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant and rated for full autoclave sterilization without losing edge or tip definition over repeated cycles.

It’s part of SurgiWorld’s Carvers lineup, giving a restorative operatory the full range of discoid-cleoid, Hollenback, and Tanner blade patterns needed to match occlusal anatomy across different tooth shapes and restoration sizes without settling for a single general-purpose blade.

SurgiWorld supplies this instrument to dental clinics, restorative practices, and dental schools across Canada and the USA, backed by fast replacement stock so a worn or lost instrument doesn’t leave a gap in the tray setup during a busy clinical day, and by a full range of matched sizes and patterns within the same product line for whenever the case calls for a different profile.

Clinical Use

3S Hollenback Carver is an anatomy-carving instrument, built with the Hollenback #3S blade profile, a finer variant of the standard #3 for detail carving. It’s used after composite or amalgam has been placed and condensed, cutting back excess material and defining the occlusal grooves, cusp inclines, and proximal contours the restoration needs to match the surrounding tooth anatomy and occlude correctly against the opposing arch.

Where a burnisher smooths a surface without removing material, a carver’s edge is built to cut – shaping and reducing excess before the surface is finished and polished.

Design and Handling

The blade profile is shaped for controlled, shallow cuts rather than aggressive material removal, letting the clinician sculpt fine anatomical detail without over-carving or disturbing the margin. A balanced handle supports the light, precise pressure carving calls for over a full arch of occlusal and proximal surfaces.

SurgiWorld’s Carvers range spans the Hollenback, Tanner, Wiland, and discoid-cleoid blade families, giving a restorative operatory the anatomy-carving coverage needed across anterior and posterior direct restorations of different sizes.

SurgiWorld supplies this instrument to dental clinics, restorative practices, and dental schools across Canada and the USA, backed by fast replacement stock so a worn or lost instrument doesn’t leave a gap in the tray setup.
