151A Universal Forceps is built with two pointed beaks that meet evenly without an offset, the defining feature of a universal lower-arch pattern rather than a tooth-specific or mirrored left/right design.
Because the beak geometry is matched rather than angled for one particular side or tooth shape, the same instrument handles a range of mandibular teeth, which is what makes a universal pattern a practical first reach on a general extraction tray. When a tooth’s shape or condition calls for something more specific, a tooth-type or root pattern takes over, but the 151A covers the majority of routine cases on its own.
Clinically, it is used as the default lower-arch extraction forceps for routine cases across several tooth types. Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
