Adson Toothed Tissue Forceps, 6″ carries the 1×2 interlocking tooth tip that defines the Adson pattern: a single tooth on one tip fits between two teeth on the opposing side, locking onto tissue with a secure hold that does not depend on heavy closing pressure.
That tooth pattern is suited to tougher tissue, skin, mucoperiosteum, and firm oral tissue encountered during flap procedures, where a smooth-tipped or lightly serrated forceps tends to slip while positioning a suture or repositioning a flap. Fine longitudinal serrations run along the shank below the tip, giving the fingers extra purchase during controlled, precise handling.
Clinically, it is used for suturing, flap manipulation, and general tissue handling wherever a secure, non-slip grip on firm tissue is needed. Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
