Kelly Hemostat, Curved, 14cm

CAD 79.99

SKU:HS112

Kelly hemostat curved dental forceps serve the same clinical functions as the straight version, vessel clamping, root tip retrieval, tissue manipulation, and loose object removal, in situations where the geometry of the surgical site makes a curved approach more effective or more comfortable than a direct straight-on entry. This is most commonly the case in the posterior dental arch, where access is restricted by the cheek and buccal fat pad, by limited interarch clearance, and by the angulation of third molar roots relative to the extraction socket.

The curved jaw redirects the instrument tip toward the target tissue while the clinician’s hand remains in a neutral, ergonomic position relative to the patient’s head. This means the instrument can reach the base of a posterior socket, engage a root tip fragment lodged apically, or grasp a bleeding vessel in the depth of a posterior flap without the operator having to extend or rotate the wrist past a comfortable working angle. The reduction in wrist strain matters during longer surgical procedures where multiple tooth sites are managed in a single appointment.

All other functional characteristics match the straight version: half-serrated jaws with serrations on the distal half and a smooth proximal section, two-step ratchet lock, ring handle with finger-ring grip, and a 5.5″ (14 cm) overall length. The curved and straight Kelly hemostats are frequently used as a matched pair on the surgical tray, with the clinician selecting between them based on the approach angle available at each working site. Medical-grade stainless steel, autoclavable.

Product Features

  • Kelly hemostat curved dental jaw configuration reaches posterior surgical sites without requiring wrist extension or rotation past a neutral working angle
  • Half-serrated jaws provide firm grip at the distal tip zone while reducing soft tissue trauma at the jaw base
  • Ratchet locking mechanism holds clamping position without sustained hand pressure
  • Pairs naturally with the straight Kelly hemostat as a matched surgical tray set for anterior and posterior coverage
  • 5.5″ (14 cm) length, medical-grade stainless steel, fully autoclavable

Differentiates from Kelly Straight: Curved jaws reach around tissue contours and provide access to posterior molar and third molar extraction sites where a straight instrument would require awkward wrist angles.
