Stevens Tenotomy Scissors, Straight Sharp is a small, delicate instrument with short, sharply pointed straight blades, scaled down from general surgical scissors for fine, precise cutting.
Its compact size and lighter weight suit shallow or confined sites where a full-length Metzenbaum pattern would be difficult to control as exactly, such as frenectomy procedures, small soft tissue lesion removal, or trimming fine suture material close to the gumline. The shorter shank and proportionally sized finger rings give better tactile feedback on light cuts than a longer instrument can provide.
Clinically, it is used for fine soft tissue cutting, frenum releases, and other small-scale procedures where control matters more than reach. Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
