1/2 Allen Orban Knife, Round carries narrow, spear-point blades on both ends of its handle, built to reach into interdental and interproximal spaces that a broader periodontal knife cannot enter.
The slim blade profile is shaped for precise incision and removal of excess or diseased tissue at the interdental papilla and col during gingivectomy or gingival recontouring, where access between adjacent teeth is the limiting factor rather than the amount of tissue being removed. The two ends carry complementary orientations, so the mesial and distal aspects of the same interdental space can both be addressed without switching instruments.
Clinically, it is used for gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, and interdental tissue recontouring. Manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
