Gracey 5/6 Curette, Anterior and Premolar

Gracey 5/6 Curette is selected when root planing needs to extend beyond anterior teeth into premolar surfaces without yet requiring a posterior-specific instrument.

The defining feature is a single 70-degree offset cutting edge on a blade and shank sized to bridge anterior and premolar anatomy, giving it broader reach than the 1/2 or 3/4 while remaining more precise than a universal curette.

Clinically, the 5/6 is used for subgingival scaling and root planing on anterior teeth and premolars, commonly rounding out a Gracey set alongside the 7/8 and 11/12 for full-arch area-specific coverage. Double-ended, medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
