Spade Luxator Right

The Spade Luxator Right is a right-side, angled luxation instrument built for controlled and efficient tooth removal in the lower jaw. When performing mandibular molar extractions or retrieving broken root tips, access and angulation are critical. This instrument’s right-oriented blade geometry allows the clinician to insert the working tip comfortably into the mesial or distal periodontal ligament space on the right side of lower molars without awkward wrist positioning.

The spade-shaped blade tip is thin enough to slide into the narrow sulcus between the root surface and alveolar bone. Once inserted, a slight rotational and apical force stretches and ruptures the periodontal ligament fibers. This process loosens the tooth gradually, making the subsequent elevation or forceps extraction much easier and less traumatic compared to forceful luxation alone.

Clinical Indications: Lower first and second molar extractions, mandibular root tip retrieval, and cases where the bone density makes direct extraction challenging.

Material & Build: Manufactured from premium-grade stainless steel with a corrosion-resistant finish. The handle is ergonomically designed for a secure grip during rotation and lever movements. Fully autoclave-sterilizable at standard 134°C (273°F) cycles.

Blade Specifications: Spade-shaped tip, right-angled orientation, blade width approximately 3 mm, blade thickness tapered to allow entry into a narrow PDL space. Overall instrument length: approximately 18–19 cm (7–7.5 inches).
