Columbia 13/14 Universal Curette

Columbia 13/14 Curette is selected for finishing root surfaces and cleaning deep periodontal pockets where a longer-reaching universal curette is needed after initial calculus removal.

The defining feature is the double cutting edge set at 90 degrees to the shank on a longer blade than a standard Columbia 4R/4L, giving it better access into deeper pockets while still working both mesial and distal surfaces from the same end.

Clinically, the 13/14 is used for subgingival scaling, root planing, and deep pocket debridement on both anterior and posterior teeth, making it a general finishing instrument rather than an area-specific one. Double-ended, medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable.
